About

Hello! My name is Emily and I started this blog to document my experiences through college and beyond. I am a student at Indiana University (I’m almost graduated now, yikes!) and this blog has been a place to me to share my projects and experiences. By the time I’m done with the Computer Educator’s License program at IU, I will have acquired three teaching certificates. I will have my Elementary Generalist and Mild Intervention licenses as well as a Computer Educator’s Addition. My experiences have taught me that no matter where I’m placed, technology is always a factor whether we realize it or not. Sometimes it’s obvious and students will have assistive technology devices written into their IEPs, but sometimes the technology we use is as simple as the document camera and projector. Finding meaningful ways to incorporate this technology is what makes the difference.

Hopefully, the blog can serve as a reference point for myself and other on ways technology can be used in the classroom above and beyond just showing a movie or regular substitution methods. I really want to help teachers transform their lessons with technology and really use it to enhance lessons they’ve already created.
